Much of Gavin Turk’s work deals with issues of authorship, authenticity and identity. He is concerned with the ‘myth’ of the artist and the ‘authorship’ of a work. He shares with FIG an interest in and a fascination with all things Warhol and has appropriated Warhol’s work in the production of his own. We thought he might have something interesting to say about Warhol and Bernstein, fake Pop versus real, so we’ve invited him to the gallery to share his ideas. FIG Talks Presents Gavin Turk. Hoorah!
